The arrival of two Orthodox Jews upsets the wedding day of a rural town clerk’s son in a small Hungarian village longing for a return to normalcy in 1945, a choral drama in elegant black and white. The two strangers, father and son, are seen transporting two mysterious wooden boxes from the train station to the town. This upsets everyone. Might they be relatives or friends acting on behalf of the Jews who used to live there? Will they claim property and possessions of former Jewish families?
